As you finish gathering your supplies for this year’s celebrations there are a couple staple pieces you might want to consider having on hand to ensure your makeup remains intact. No one wants to worry about whether their makeup will last. Regardless of how long your night will be, makeup is bound to move around. In order to avoid constant touch ups throughout the night try to incorporate some of these essentials to this year’s halloween makeup routine.
Prep and Prime
Prepping the skin with a simple moisturizer is a must! Moisturizing your skin will allow the makeup to cling better to your face and keep your skin hydrated especially now that the weather is getting colder. A good primer will lock in moisture and provide a tacky base that will allow your other makeup products to cling on for longer. Finding a good primer is a process of trial and error but if I were to recommend one I would suggest the Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
Waterproof Products
Using waterproof products ensures that your makeup will have the strength to last. They are formulated to combat liquid through any situation. A good waterproof eyeliner and mascara will keep your eye makeup looking flawless throughout the night of celebrations. My favorite waterproof eyeliner is the Flash Cat Eye Waterproof Brush Tip Liquid Liner.
Setting your skin
Setting your skin with setting powder or setting spray is a must if you want the makeup you worked so hard on to stay intact. If you tend to get oily, a setting powder may be a good option to help absorb any extra oil on your skin. My go-to setting powder is the Matte Mineral Setting Powder. If your skin is on the drier side you might want to consider using a setting spray to trap moisture and provide a dewy finish. However, you are welcome to use whichever one you feel the most comfortable using for the occasion. Using both at a time will only serve to enhance the longevity of your makeup.
