Cherry Blossom Inspired Makeup Collections for 2022
One of my favorite things about spring is that it is cherry blossom season! To celebrate, many brands, such as Starbucks in Japan, are notorious for coming out with the cutest yearly sakura inspired collections. Thankfully, makeup brands in the U.S. have stepped up their game and have been releasing gorgeous pink cherry blossom inspired collections just in time for the season! Here are three brands to be on the lookout for:
MAC Black Cherry Collection 2022
MAC’s 2021 cherry blossom collection was one of my favorites of the year because it looked minimal and fresh. This year they’ve taken a different approach, but it still looks good. This year MAC released the Black Cherry Collection. As opposed to last year’s white packaging, this new collection sports black and pink metallic packaging and bolder makeup colors.
The collection consists of:
- Wild Cherry Prep + Prime Lip
- Wild Cherry Brushstroke Liner
- Wild Cherry Prep + Prime Fix+
- Wild Cherry #81 Charmer Lash
- Wild Cherry Eyeshadow Quads in Amber Smoky and Sweet Mix
- Wild Cherry Extra Dimension Skinfinish in the shade Petallic Metallic
- Wild Cherry Love Me Lipstick in the shades Cheery Cheery (vibrant pink), Potent Petal (vibrant red), and Sakura Szn (warm pink)
- Wild Cherry Glow Play Blush in the shades Flowerescent (cool lavender-pink), HD Cherry Tree (Fuschia), and Peaches N’ Dreams (peachy orange)
Wet n Wild Bloomin’ Collection
This collection is actually part of their Valentine’s Day Collection, but with a cherry blossom theme. Last Year’s collection was not my favorite as they simply repackaged their best sellers in seasonal packaging but this year definitely made up for it by including limited edition shades. This collection sports a light pink and peach color scheme with cherry blossom-filled branches along the sides of the packaging.

- Wet n Wild Bloomin’ Sugar Pink Lip Mask
- Wet n Wild Bloomin’ Eyeshadow Palette in Garden Party

- Wet n Wild Bloomin’ Plumping Lip Gloss in the shades Baby Bloomer (milky pink) and Bloom Time (clear glitter)
Huda Beauty Cherry Blossom Collection
This year Huda Beauty launched two cute new additions to their makeup line! The collection introduced a new shade of the popular Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder. I’ve heard good things about the original so hopefully, this one also lives up to the hype. The packaging of this collection doesn’t really stray away from its original packaging, instead releasing a new shade with pink pigments to match the cherry blossom color scheme. The Lip set also comes in a cute limited edition pink transparent pouch with a keychain attached so you can clip it onto your bag on the go!
This collection contains:
- Easy Bake Cherry Blossom Cake
- Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Lip Set, which comes with a liquid matte lipstick in the shade Lucky 04 (warm coral with pink undertones) and a silk balm illuminating lip balm in the shade Cherry Blossom (sheer coral pink with gold shimmer)
