Do you ever wonder who’s behind the media component of Aurum? With the spring semester almost coming to an end, it’s time you all get to know some of us! The Media Committee includes graphic designers, content creators, heads of the committee, and bloggers. We all come from different backgrounds and majors, but it’s cool seeing how we’re all able to collaborate. Everyone is highly talented in what they do and make Aurum fun! Keep reading to find out more about who we are!
Media Heads
Beginning with our heads of the committee, we have Lauren Kim and Christine Suh! They help coordinate the posts seen on Instagram, conduct the weekly meetings, and basically oversee the committee. Lauren is an Economics major and Christine is majoring in Psychology. Christine mentioned that Aurum helped her get her current internship position since she spoke on her experience with Aurum! Lauren said Aurum helped her discover career paths that she didn’t even know existed in the beauty industry! Beauty is something meaningful to her; it helps her through stressful times as it provides an escape.
Graphic Designers/Content Creators
Next we have our graphic designers and content creators. The Wallpaper Wednesdays, blog graphics, event banners on Facebook, instagram posts, and anything picture wise is done by them! They do an exceptional job in making aesthetically pleasing graphics. Here are some of them! Livia Nakada is a bioengineering major, Jessica Yu is double majoring in Data Science and Economics, and Clare Sern is a business major! Clare notes that everyone in Aurum is so nice and welcoming! Jessica mentions that Aurum brought to light many opportunities that she didn’t even know existed, it also helped her get in touch with her design skills and her overall creative side.
Bloggers
And finally, the bloggers! I’m one of the two bloggers in the committee. I’m Michelle Espinoza and I’m majoring in Political Economy. Aurum helped me by giving me some sort of starting point in what I want to do in the future. I’ve never really had an idea of a “dream job” but ever since I started attending events hosted by Aurum that bring speakers from different brands and backgrounds in, I knew I wanted a career in the beauty industry.
