As a busy student, I find it difficult to wake up early in the morning and do a full skincare and makeup routine. There is just not enough time, therefore I rely on multitasking products. Makeup products infused with skincare benefits allow me to cut time in the morning and still look put together. I am able to wear my makeup comfortably knowing it’s working on improving my skin while I’m out and about. I’ve compiled a list of some hybrid products that add color while simultaneously treating the skin. Would you ever consider incorporating some of these products into your routine?
This is one of the first makeup items I bought when I first started wearing makeup and I continue to diligently use it. This product fascinates me in particular as it comes out as a white cream but as soon as you start warming it into the skin it produces a pigment that seamlessly blends in with your natural complexion. As of now, it is available in three shades: Clair, Doré, and Caramel, but I hope they continue to expand their shade range. CC stands for color correcting and I feel like it accomplishes just that as immediately after applying it I can visibly notice how my skin tone begins to even out. The superstar ingredient of this product is Centella Asiatica which is known for its soothing properties. It also includes SPF coverage therefore it helps protect against the harmful effects of the sun. However, I would still recommend using another sunscreen under the CC cream for extra protection. Consistency and fragrance wise It feels like a light lotion and carries a very soft scent.
Em Cosmetics Color Drops Serum Blush
This product is a buildable blush with the consistency of a serum. The formulation includes Hyaluronic Acid, Sacha Inchi Oil, Squalene, and antioxidants. I like products that include Vitamin E in their formulation as it helps protect the skin from environmental stressors. Hyaluronic Acid is also an ingredient that I feel anyone can benefit from as its hydrating properties aid in achieving supple skin. As of now, they offer 8 fun and colorful shades to choose from. My favorite shade is Cherry Splash which is a classic red color! The product itself lasts quite a while as you don’t need more than one drop to tint both cheeks. You can apply it any way you want to, but personally, I prefer to apply it with my fingers. I love how it’s lightweight and gives off a natural glowy blush!
Bare Minerals Strength & Length Serum-Infused Mascara
This mascara is a cruelty-free, paraben-free, and Vegan formula. It is also infused with a plant-based serum that works to define and lift lashes. The serum contains Red Clover Flower, peptides, and an essential mineral blend. These ingredients are said to help enhance and strengthen lashes over prolonged use. The paddle mascara brush along with the formulation aids in lengthening and keeping lashes looking healthy. From my experience, I find that it’s clump-proof, smudge-proof, and noticed it made my lashes look visibly longer after about 2 months of using it consistently!
Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Sunscreen SPF 15
This lip balm hydrates and protects all while providing a hint of color. It comes in 14 fun colors as well as clear. My favorite shade is Rosé which is a sheer pink color! You are also able to customize the color intensity depending on how many times you swipe it across your lips. It contains ingredients such as black currant seed oil, grapeseed oil, sugar, and Vitamin C and E. Sugar being its key ingredient is proven to provide conditioning and nourishing effects. What I love about this product is that it contains SPF 15 which helps protect the lips from the damaging effects of the sun. Overall, I find that it keeps my lips moisturized and the color stays on throughout the day!
